National Bullying Prevention Month just ended, but 3C Institute prides itself on keeping bullying prevention at the forefront of our efforts to improve social, emotional, and academic outcomes for children throughout the year. Research shows that everyone involved in bullying—victims, bystanders, and the bullies themselves—are at risk for negative outcomes in all three of these critical areas.
3C already offers a variety of engaging social-emotional learning programs for school-age children and last year, we received funding from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development to create a new, evidence-based game designed to help younger students develop social emotional skills needed to navigate bullying situations. We’re proud to announce that the NICHD recently awarded 3C funding to create another version of the program to help late-elementary students build on these skills and successfully transition to middle school.
