The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development has awarded 3C Institute a fast-track grant to support the development of a bullying prevention game aimed at children in kindergarten and 1st grade.
The game will assess children’s social-emotional behavior, problem-solving abilities, and bullying awareness using a variety of topical scenarios. Predicted outcomes of game use include increased awareness of both direct and relational bullying behaviors and gains in social-emotional learning skills.
3C recently completed recruitment of educators, parents, and children for review of the game prototype. Additional recruitment will take place in early summer 2018 to test a version of the game in classrooms.
